INTERNSHIP VISION

Internships at Beach Church are designed to give hands-on experience and training for vocational ministry. As a church, we exist to reach, raise up, and release followers of Jesus who change the world. Our desire for the internship program is to raise up and release the next generation of ministry leaders with the Beach Church DNA.

We are looking for the best young leaders who are looking to take the next step in their ministry calling. Whether you are just graduating from college or seminary, or feel God calling you in a new direction, we are ready to partner with you to help prepare you for the next part of your ministry journey.

INTERNSHIP TIMELINE AND TRACKS

The internship program lasts 11 months from September through July. During this time you will develop in 4 key areas: 1) personal spiritual development 2) theological development within the Wesleyan tradition 3) practical ministry theory and 4) hands on ministry experience within one of our awesome ministry departments. Interns will choose a focus in one of the following tracks: Lead or Campus Pastor, Worship/Tech Ministry, BeachKids, Discipleship, Beach Students, Communications, or Operations.

The internship is unpaid, however, we will provide your housing only 3 blocks from the beach.
Spaces are limited, so make sure you apply in a timely manner.

INTERNSHIP SCHEDULE

2 Hours | PERSONAL: One-on-one time with a Pastor, worship, communion, prayer

2 Hours | THEOLOGY: Book study, discussion, reflection

2 Hours | MINISTRY/PRACTICAL: Projects, assignments, discussion

1 Week | EVANGELISM & CULTURAL ENGAGEMENT: Detroit Discipleship Trip

If Part-Time, 12-14 Hours | Hands on Ministry

If Full Time, 30-32 Hours | Hands on Ministry

About The Detroit Discipleship Trip

The Detroit Discipleship Trip will provide interns with the opportunity to engage with and learn from the Black and Muslim communities in the city of Detroit Michigan, equipping them with a deeper understanding of gospel outreach.

Through hands-on discipleship training, outreach, and collaboration with our partner YWAM Detroit, interns will gain firsthand insight into the transformative power of the gospel in both individual lives and diverse communities. This experience will empower them to reflect on their unique role in God’s global mission.

Interns will be expected to fundraise around $1,000 for this trip and will be coached on how to invite other people to sow into this gospel mission. If you feel led to support our interns as they head to Detroit, there will be an opportunity to donate toward the trip. Thank you for your continued prayers and support as we send these young leaders into this meaningful experience!

Our Detroit Trip’s theme of "Finding God in the City" will guide our interns as they discover life-changing lessons to bring back home.
